Breathe the fresh air. Hear the cries of the wild. Nibble something from nature’s kitchen. Packed with fun facts about a myriad of flora and fauna.
From our meeting point in Uley we head across open fields and along some winding lanes before disappearing deep into ancient beech woodlands. We amble a stunning woodland path as it skirts the lush green valley below, exploring the natural goodies of the woods. Will be lucky enough to see buzzards and kestrels flying along at eye level?
We emerge at several spectacular view points throughout and offer opportunities to discuss the surprising sacred history of the valley.
As we meet a small single track lane, there is a chance to peek into Owlpen Church, before we head back across open fields to our meeting point.
This walk includes several steep climbs, and one steep descent. This is not a race, and is designed to be climbed in sections, with resting periods. We class this is a moderate walk.
